THE MAKER OF ALL MATTER
The essence of Jesus' human nature was revealed when he became flesh and dwelt among us as a carpenter, crafting wood with His hands. With the skill of a carpenter, He demonstrated His power to mend and manipulate matter, which He HImself had designed. As a carpenter, He gave a glimpse on earth of who He also had been and was in Heaven. He proclaimed to the crowds that followed Him: "The Word - The Maker of all matter is walking in your midst."
On Mount Hermon, Peter, James, and John witnessed Jesus transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes radiated with light. Moses and Elijah appeared with Him, representing the Law and the prophets - the word of God sealed in print. However, Jesus was the Living Word! The message was clear: Jesus is the one through whom all things were created and sustained.
This biblical narrative reveals a "theory of everything," (think Albert Einstein,) that unites the laws of nature with the unity of a singular universe created and sustained by Jesus, the Word!. Every component of the visible and invisible universe is subject to the laws of the Creator. Nothing is beyond the laws of nature except for the Father and His Only Begotten Son, through whom the continuum of space and time was created.
In summary, Jesus is the embodiment of all things, and everything exists because of Him. “He is all and in all,” (Colossians 3:11)
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever,” (Romans 11:36.)
